US President Donald Trump said Volodymyr Zelenskyy has become more interested in concluding a mineral agreement. It became known after their meeting in the Vatican, which, according to Trump, was "beautiful."
This meeting discussed important issues, including the occupied Crimea, as well as the call of Zelensky to Washington to transfer more weapons to Ukraine. Trump stressed that their relationship was never bad, and the controversy in the White House was only a "small obstacle."
"I see he became calmer. I think he understands the picture. And I think he wants to make an agreement," the US President said. Trump also shared his impressions of the Russian shelling of Kiev, which occurred on April 24. He expressed disappointment and noted that he could not say with certainty whether Russian President Vladimir Putin was seriously configured to end the war.
"I want him (Putin) to stop shooting, sat down at the negotiating table and signed the agreement. I believe that we have the framework of the agreement, and I want him to sign it, end it with it and just return to life," Trump said.
