US President Donald Trump has invited the head of the Chinese People's Republic of Xi Jinping to visit the ceremony of his inauguration, which will take place in January. According to sources, the invitation was sent in early November, shortly after the US presidential election.
It is unknown whether Xi Jinping has accepted this invitation.
Trump's team seeks to involve other high -ranking guests from different countries. Appointed White House spokeswoman Caroline Livitt said:
"The world leaders are lining up to meet President Trump because they know that he will soon return to power and restore peace through American power around the world."
Despite a gesture in the form of an invitation, the relationship between Trump and the Chinese government remain tense. The environment of the chosen president, in particular, Senator Marco Rubio, whom Trump elected as a Secretary of State and Future National Security Advisor Mike Voltz, actively criticize Beijing's policies.
Donald Trump himself has repeatedly expressed rigid statements about China, promising to raise duties on Chinese goods and reduce the dependence of the US economy on the Chinese import.
Xi Jinping congratulated Trump on the election, but the further development of relations between the US and China remains questioning because of ideological and economic differences.
