Turkish President Recep TaiP Erdogan during a meeting with the leader of Egypt Abdele Fattach As-Sisi expressed his readiness to restore the Gaza Sector together with Cairo. Erdogan stated this during a press conference in Cairo.
"In the medium term, we are ready to restore the Gaza Sector in cooperation with Egypt," Erdogan emphasized.
In addition, Turkish President supported the idea of detaching the population of the Gaza Sector and expressed supporting Egypt's measures to strengthen the border with the enclave.
He also expressed anxiety about Israel's plans for a possible attack on the city of Rafach on the border of an enclave with Egypt and called on the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyaga "to abandon the Policy of Mass killings in Rafah."
Erdogan also reported that his country had accepted about 700 Palestinian refugees who came through Egypt to provide them with medical care.
For his part, As-Sisie thanked Turkey for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Sector and called for an immediate ceasefire to restore the peaceful process.
It is important to note that this was Erdogan's first visit to Egypt over the last 12 years.
