There was a plane crash in the east of France with the participation of two Alpha Jet jet. The incident occurred during the rehearsal of the Famous Patrouille de France, which is part of the country's military-air forces. This was announced by the Defense Minister Sebastien Lecorn.
According to him, both pilots, as well as a passenger who was on board one of the aircraft, managed to catapult and received only minor injuries.
The British edition of the Daily Mail clarifies that the accident has occurred near the airbase in the Saint-Dzier municipality. Six aircraft participated in the rehearsal, but two of them collided, which caused one of the sides to fall into Calin's concrete company. A fire occurred as a result of the impact.
The second aircraft, according to preliminary information, fell into the channel. Despite the seriousness of the accident, civilians were not injured.
The reasons for the collision are now being clarified, French military experts have already started investigating the incident. The Minister of Defense thanked the rescuers for the prompt response and expressed support for the pilots who participated in the training flight.
Patrouille de France is an elite pilot group of French Air Force, known for its spectacular performances and a high level of professional training. Such incidents with their participation are extremely rare, which makes this event especially resonant.
