The prime ministers of Poland and Denmark said that during the period when their countries will lead the European Union, they plan to actively promote the European integration of Ukraine

Poland and Denmark, which will lead the EU next year, will actively contribute to the European integration processes of Ukraine, said the prime ministers of these countries during a joint press conference in Warsaw.

Donald Tusk and Mette Frederiksen emphasized that during the presidencies of their countries in the EU, they will maintain and expand assistance to Ukraine, as well as actively work on EU enlargement and European security issues.

According to them, this will create historic opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Europe and Ukraine, help preserve Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure support from the EU.

Tusk emphasized that Poland and Denmark share the same views on the security of Europe and Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and promised to help Ukraine as much as possible.

Both countries also actively involve other EU countries in supporting Ukraine and ensuring its security. Frederiksen noted that Europe should respond to the calls of the President of Ukraine to provide additional support in the face of increasing aerial attacks on Ukraine by Russia.

She also expressed hope that the US Congress will decide on providing aid to Ukraine, stressing the importance of more active support from Washington.
