An avalanche occurred on Mount Bretskul in the Carpathians

From the eastern slope of Mount Bruzkul in the Montenegrus array in the Carpathians, on January 6, a snow avalanche of 1280 cubic meters came out. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the event happened between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm Kyiv time.

Fortunately, the avalanche did not harm and did not cause human casualties. The event was reported by the fire station of Frozhevskaya, located near the mountain of Bruzkul at an altitude of 1550 meters.

Mount Bruzkul (or Breskul, as it is called Hutsuls) is one of the peaks of the Montenegrin ridge, its height is 1911 meters. The area is located in the area of ​​the snowy meteorological station and a biological hospital of the Institute of Ecology of the Carpathians of the NAS of Ukraine.

Last year, three snow avalanches were coming down from the slopes of the Bruzkul. This confirms the active avalanche danger in the region, which requires special care from tourists and researchers.
