In the northwest of China, in the Zinchuan Odos basin, the world's first faded Uranus deposit was discovered. This was reported by the Xinhua Agency with reference to the Department of Geological Intelligence, which is subordinated to the Ministry of Natural Resources of the PRC.
This discovery is the world's first case of detection of a large Uranium deposit in the region where eolian sandstone prevails. Similar relief forms cover about 200,000 square kilometers in the Ordos basin. They are also widespread in other China's oil -bearing areas, such as Tarim, Dzhungar and Sonlao.
Experts believe that the detection of Uranium deposit in the Zinchuan area will open up new opportunities to explore this raw material in China. This discovery will promote the country's resource base, providing uranium needs for the energy sector and other industries.
