On the night of July 19 in Los Angeles, California, a large-scale road accident happened: a car was in full in a crowd of people who were waiting near the nightclub. According to official information, at least 30 people were injured, seven of them are in critical condition.
The incident occurred on Santa Monica Boulevard in the East Hollywood area. According to CNN, the Nissan Versa car crashed into the crowd at the entrance to the night establishment at high speed, knocking down a trolley and a parking lot.
According to Los Angeles Fire Service, medical care was provided to all the victims on the spot. Seven people were hospitalized in a critical condition, and six more in the difficult one. Ten people were injured in moderate severity. Seven more after examination of doctors refused hospitalization.
Most of the victims are women. One of the patients, as it became known, had a gunshot wound, but the circumstances of its receipt are currently being established.
The captain of the fire department Adam Van Herpen said that rescue crews were arrived at the scene, which were supported by 124 firefighters, physicians and law enforcement. According to the captain, the people who stood in line with the club rushed to help the victims before the arrival of rescuers.
"It will be a large -scale investigation. All circumstances are set by the police. We do not exclude any version," Van Herpen said.
At the moment, law enforcement officers do not specify whether the incident is considered as a deliberate attack or accident. The case was transferred to the investigator.
