The Ukrainian Defense and Industrial Complex is actively working on the development of a long-range version of the missiles for the Neptune complex. It is noted that this new modification of weapons should improve the efficiency and capabilities of the complex.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk in an interview for the Armyinform. According to him, the defense complex is also focused on strengthening the air defense system. However, he refrained from the disclosure of details about the new Neptune missiles.
“At present, we cannot talk about this in detail, I will only say that working on the modernization of anti-aircraft missile complexes“ Beech ”and C-300 ″,” Havrylyuk said.
The general also indicated that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces defined a series of important tasks, including an increase in the capabilities of the defense and industrial complex of production of various types of weapons, equipment and ammunition. It is also emphasized on the scale of production and maximum localization of production in Ukraine to improve the autonomy and independence of production.
It is noted that both public and private enterprises will be included in this process, including those specializing in the production of dual -use goods.
