Ukraine is able to knock down Iranian missiles, but this task is extremely difficult and expensive. Only American Patriot systems are suitable for this purpose, the number of which is insufficient in Ukraine to protect all cities. Avayexpert Valery Romanenko told this in an interview with NV.
According to Romanenko, the destruction of Iranian missiles is expensive, and this is one of the main problems.
"It is possible to knock down, but you need to knock down these missiles that cost the Russians about one and a half million dollars. And the Patriot anticipation costs from $ 2.5 to $ 3.5 million," the expert explained.
Currently, Ukraine has only five Patriot complexes, and Romania may soon provide another. However, this amount is clearly not enough to cover all important regions.
Threat from sparks and new rockets
The expert also noted that Russia is changing its tactics using Iranian missiles for near areas, and Iskandera-M, which can reach further purposes, will be used for attacks on remote territories of Ukraine. Russia is able to produce up to 40-50 such missiles on a monthly basis, which only exacerbates the threat.
"We just don't have the Patriot complexes to cover all the important objects," Romanenko said.
In addition, Russia has launched North Korean missiles governed by DPRK specialists. Already, one division of the 91st missile brigade is involved in hostilities, and they will join the 41st Guards Brigade, which completes the training.
Western countries, including the EU, have been confirmed by Iran's supply of ballistic missiles to Russia. This significantly increases the financial support of the Kremlin by Tehran in the war against Ukraine. Pentagon reported that Iran had handed over to Moscow Fath 360 missiles, but without starting installations, which may temporarily hold back their use.

According to Valery Romanenko, the coming months for Ukraine will be extremely difficult because of new threats. Massive attacks using Iranian, North Korean and Russian rockets have a serious challenge for the country's defenses.
