During the experiment, two explosions occurred at the 4th Chornobyl NPP reactor, and a cloud of radioactive dust went into the atmosphere. The wind spread dangerous radioactive isotopes to the northwest, where they settled on the ground and fell into reservoirs. As a result of the accident, Ukraine heads the number of victims of the former republics of the Soviet Union. A powerful cyclone has been carried by radioactive substances through Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Finland, the United Kingdom, and later through Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
