In October 2024, Ukraine continued to increase natural gas production, reaching the highest figures since January 2022. According to ExPro, gas production in Ukraine increased by 2.3% compared to October 2023 and amounted to 1.663 billion cubic meters. This increase reflects positive trends in the energy sector, despite the difficult conditions associated with the war.
Average daily gross production of natural gas in Ukraine in October 2024 also showed positive dynamics. Compared to September 2024, it rose 1.3% to 53.6 million cubic meters, the highest average daily output since February 2022, when full-scale war broke out.
During 10 months of 2024, natural gas production in Ukraine increased by 2.0% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching almost 15.85 billion cubic meters. m. This is 2.7% more than in 10 months of 2022, which indicates a gradual recovery process in the gas production industry.
The company "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" also continues to demonstrate positive results. In October, it increased gas production by 1.6% to 1.24 billion cubic meters. m. In general, for 10 months of 2024, the company increased production by 5.4% compared to the same period of 2023, reaching an indicator of 12.1 billion cubic meters. m.
The increase in gas production in Ukraine against the backdrop of military operations is a positive signal for the economy, which seeks to reduce dependence on imported energy resources. At the same time, it is important to consider that gas production remains under constant pressure from external factors, and the stable development of this industry requires additional investments and technological innovations.
