Ukraine is preparing for the approval of the National Program for Adaptation of Legislation to the rules of European Union law, today Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said today.
"This year we will also approve the National Program of Adaptation of Ukraine's Legislation to EU law. We continue European integration reforms. In November we received four additional EU recommendations for strengthening our institutions and adaptation of laws to European standards. Three of four additional recommendations have already been fulfilled. said Smigal.
He recalled that Ukraine has successfully implemented seven blocks of recommendations of the European Commission. The decision to start negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU has already been made by the European Council.
Ukraine also launched the process of self -assessment of compliance with its legislation with European standards.
"As a result of this analysis, we have identified about 2.8 thousand acts of the European Union, which need to be implemented. On January 17 this year, the European Commission supported the decision to start checking the Ukrainian legislation within the framework of preparation for the negotiation frame," the Prime Minister added.
