Ukraine plans to strengthen the role of local authorities during mobilization

In Ukraine, a new bill on recruiting, mobilization and military service is being considered, which envisages strengthening the role of local authorities during mobilization. This was reported by the People's Deputy from the "servant of the people" Marian Bezugla.

According to the rules of the new bill, which is being prepared for registration in the Verkhovna Rada, local authorities and state administrations will be involved in the mobilization process, not just "facilitate mobilization", as it was before.

Changes also affect the scope of vehicles, covering all citizens except individuals.

The announcement of martial law envisages restriction of the rights of evasion and strengthening the participation of the National Police. These measures are designed to increase efficiency and determination in the context of challenges that may arise when mobilized in order to ensure national security.

The bill is expected to be registered in the Verkhovna Rada, where it will be considered and discussed at the relevant committees.
