As part of the second day of the large exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia, another 307 Ukrainian servicemen returned home. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Telegram.
“Today is the second day of 1000 to 1000 exchange, which was able to agree in Turkey. In these two days, 697 people have already returned. We are waiting for a continuation tomorrow, ”the President said.
According to the Head of State, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the border guards and the National Guard among the captivity.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked everyone who has attached this complex process: “Thank you to everyone and everyone who works around the clock to return our people. This is a very difficult but crucial job. "
The president stressed that the goal of the state remains unchanged - to return home all Ukrainians in Russian captivity. For this purpose, constant cooperation with international partners and organizations, in particular with the support of Turkey, is ongoing.
