Ukraine and the United States of America are reaching a new level of cooperation in the field of defense technologies. It is a so -called megaugood about the joint development of production and export of Ukrainian drones. This was stated by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko during a meeting with journalists on July 18.
According to her, a recent meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States - Vladimir Zelensky and Donald Trump - a political arrangement was reached, which opens the way to the implementation of a large common project. According to preliminary arrangements, the US side is ready to invest in expanding the production of drones in Ukraine, and considers the possibility of purchasing finished products for its own needs.
Sviridenko emphasized that it is currently talking about political consent at the highest level, and in the near future technical work will begin. It will be coordinated by the new Defense Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal, which is already involved in the development of appropriate proposals with US partners.
The agreement aims not only to strengthen the defense potential of Ukraine, but also to strengthen its position in the international market of high technologies. In the context of a full -scale war with Russia, the innovative defense industry of Ukraine is attracting more and more attention of allies, in particular through the effectiveness of domestic drones on the battlefield.
Although the details of the project are not yet made public, it is expected that long-term cooperation will be included, which will include not only production, but also joint research development, training, certification and standardization of products in accordance with NATO requirements and American defense structures.
Financing of this level can be a significant impetus for the Ukrainian MIC, allowing you to create new jobs, attract technologies and develop export opportunities. In addition, it is a signal for other partners that Ukraine remains a promising and reliable security technology player.
