Ukraine is already adapting its infrastructure for American F-16 fighters. This was stated by the Air Force Air Force Yuri Ignat during the "One News" TV.
"We are already adapting the infrastructure for this type of aircraft. This will allow them to perform tasks from our runways and stay at our airfields," Ignat said.
He emphasized that this is a difficult task, because it takes a long time to adapt a full adaptation. "It would be ideal to place the infrastructure as Iran does.
According to him, the infrastructure should be protected from any threats, including missiles and drones.
Recall that the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands declared February 5, 2024, which prepares six more F-16 fighters for transfer to Ukraine. Thus, the total number of fighters that the Netherlands promised to transfer has increased to 24.
It is also worth noting that the Netherlands has already started preparing Ukrainian pilots in Romania, sending 18 F-16 fighters. The US also continues to study Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters, despite financial difficulties.
