The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed to attract more than $ 430 million funding from the World Bank Group to implement the infrastructure project. This was reported by a permanent government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk.
The funds will be aimed at implementing the investment project “Creating a sustainable infrastructure in vulnerable environments in Ukraine”. This involves the financing of critically important objects that require restoration and modernization to ensure the stability of infrastructure.
The total amount of funds raised includes:
- $ 212 million in the form of a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;
- $ 209.75 million credit from the International Development Association;
- $ 10 million grant financing.
The grant will be provided through the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Association for Development, which perform the functions of the administrators of the target fund of many donors in support, restoration, restoration and reform of Ukraine.
This initiative is an important step towards restoring the critical infrastructure of the country and improving the conditions for the development of regions affected by hostilities.
