Ukrainians declared 1,930 firearms and more than 263,000 rounds of ammunition during the month of the weapon declaration law. This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, noting that the initiative is already showing good results.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko emphasized that the goal of the campaign is to form a conscious approach of citizens to the legal storage of weapons and their responsible use. According to the head of the department, it is important for Ukrainians to understand: weapons should be used exclusively for protection against occupiers, not for criminal purposes.
The Ministry expressed confidence that the declaration of weapons will be an important step in strengthening public safety and increasing the responsibility of firearms owners.
