Ukraine's accession to the EU is closed without a settlement of the Volyn massacre issue

In the context of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union, the issue of historical memory has gained new weight. The Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Vladislav Kosinyak-Kikish, made a statement that emphasizes the importance of resolving the issue of Volyn massacre as a preconditions for European integration of Ukraine.

The issue of Ukraine's accession to the European Union is becoming more and more complex and multifaceted. Recently, the head of the Polish Defense Ministry Vladislav Kosinyak-Kaysh stated that Ukraine will not be able to join the EU until it resolves issues related to the Volyn massacre.

"It is necessary to say clearly: Ukraine will not join the EU, unless the issue of Volyn massacre is resolved," Kosinyak-Kakysh said. This statement emphasizes the importance of historical memory and respect for victims of past conflicts in the context of modern international relations.

Vladislav Kosyniak-Kaysh stressed that Warsaw should not put pressure on Kiev, asking the issue of exhumation of the bodies of victims of Volyn massacre with a condition for providing military assistance. However, in his opinion, the Ukrainian authorities should understand that the further European prospects of Kiev will depend on meeting the demands of Poland on this issue.
