In March 2025, exports of Ukrainian cereals and legumes decreased compared to the same period last year. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, since the beginning of 2024-2025 the marketing year (MR, July-June), the country has exported 32.389 million tons of grain, of which 3.206 million tons were shipped in March. In March 2024, this figure was 4.529 million tonnes, and a total of 34.199 million tonnes since the beginning of the season.
In terms of crops for the current season, exports were:
- wheat - 12.997 million tons (in March - 994 thousand tons);
- barley - 2.206 million tons (62 thousand tons);
- rye - 10.8 thousand tons (not exported in March);
- Corn - 16.72 million tons (2.14 million tons).
In addition, total exports of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season amounted to 53.1 thousand tons, of which 4.5 thousand tons in March. The main part is wheat flour - 49.2 thousand tons (in March - 4.4 thousand tons).
Reduction of exports is associated with changes in logistics, weather conditions and geopolitical situation. The Ukrainian Agrarian Sector continues to adapt to new challenges, including changes in port infrastructure and demand in international markets.
