Ukrenergo plans to repay a large part of its debt due to savings from dispatching in 2023–2024, which can be up to UAH 13 billion. This was reported by the so -called. Head of the Board of NE Alexei Brecht.
According to Brecht, Ukrenergo has already reduced the debt in 2024 compared to the end of 2023. Thus, the debt to the guaranteed buyer decreased from almost UAH 30 billion to UAH 22 billion. At the same time, the debt in the balancing market has decreased to about UAH 17.5 billion, and the total debt of market participants to the company is over UAH 35 billion.
The company expects the entry into force of a law that will allow you to use savings from dispatching in 2023–2024 to repay debts to the BR, before Harpock and small SES. According to Brecht estimates, savings in 2023 amounted to about UAH 10 billion, and given 2024, the amount could reach UAH 12-13 billion.
Brecht also noted that the company asks to carry out a planned check in early March to be able to use the economic resource to pay liabilities faster.
In addition, as part of the same bill No. 9381, an important initiative to protect the consumer E/E was adopted, which, according to Brecht, will help reduce the debt for electricity and, ideally, begin its repayment.
In general, Brecht is convinced that the company has the chance to attract external funding to restore and protect the energy network of Ukraine.
