The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov has begun consultations with partner countries to provide new air defense systems. This was a reaction to Russia's next rocket strike across the Dnieper, made using a new rocket. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address on November 22.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine has already received more details about the type of rocket used for the attack and plans to provide this information to the international community. The President emphasized the importance of bringing the truth to the world and stressed that Russia not only terrorizes Ukraine, but also uses other countries as a landfill to test new weapons.
"When someone is testing their new missiles through terror, it is an international crime," Zelensky said.
The President expressed gratitude to the partners who responded promptly to the incident, but stressed that not only statements but also specific actions were needed. In this context, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine is already working on concluding agreements on obtaining air defense systems that can counteract new threats.
Zelensky emphasized that a true peace in Ukraine is possible only through a force capable of restraining Russia and calling the international community to more decisive steps:
"The world must act so that Putin is afraid to expand the war and feel the real consequences of his actions."
