The government has approved a resolution that denies the procedure for importing power equipment, including generators and transformers, to Ukraine. Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has informed about it.
According to this decision, six technical regulations that regulated the import and sale of power equipment were terminated. Some goods will no longer require a declaration of conformity and marking a conformity mark.
The Prime Minister noted the successful first month of the heating season in Ukraine and emphasized the stability of the situation in energy. There is no electricity shortage, and the heating season began in all regions of the country.
Regarding energy resources, the Prime Minister reported that Ukraine has fully provided itself with the required volume. Gas reserves in storage facilities are almost 16 billion cubic meters, and coal reserves in warehouses reached 1.1 million tons.
Shmigal also reported 22 mobile boilers from the United States to Ukrainian communities and preparation for new Denmark deliveries, which will also bring € 7 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. The total amount of support through the Fund exceeded EUR 320 million.
In addition, the government has expanded the ability to import electricity from the EU, allowing Ukraine to import up to 1.2 GW of capacity, which is twice the amount of imports from the previous year.
