Spain sold the most expensive cheese in the world for € 36 thousand

In Spain, a new gastronomic record was set up during the traditional cheese festival - a local resident laid over 36,000 euros (over UAH 1.76 million) for one cheese. This is the third case when the cheese of ángel Díaz Herrero sells the most expensive cheese in the world.

The auction has been held in the town of Carbales, where the cheese competition has been held for over 50 years. This year, 15 cheeses took part in the event, each of which presented its best products.

The winner of the competition was the cheese weighing 2.3 kg made of cow's milk. It was kept for 10 months in a natural cave, Los Masos at an altitude of almost 1500 meters above sea level. Thanks to this, the cheese acquired a unique taste, for which he won the first place in the competition "The best cheese of the competition". He was then auctioned with an initial rate of 3,000 euros. 40 rates were made during the auction, and the El Llagar de Colloto was won, the owner of which Ivan Suarez raised the price of a record 36,000 euros. By the way, this is already the fifth victory of Suarez in such auctions.

The winner cheese produces about 10 tons of Kabral cheese every year and is known for exclusive varieties. Its products are exported to dozens of countries, and the team regularly participates in international exhibitions.
