Federal Minister of Labor Germany, Hubertus Hile, made an initiative to make it easier for refugees from Ukraine to the country's labor market, allowing employers to hire Ukrainians with a basic level of German language.
On September 2023, 205,970 unemployed Ukrainians were recorded in Germany. Minister Hile emphasized that the study of German can occur not only in language courses but also during work.
The Minister intends to discuss his initiative with representatives of the German economy on November 20. Although 100,000 Ukrainians have successfully completed integration courses in Germany, the Minister's initiative is aimed at actively integration into the labor market of those who do not yet have a sufficient level of German.
According to government data, in July 2023, 196,600 citizens of Ukraine worked in Germany, other details about their occupation are different - from paying contributions to social insurance to work on low -paid or incomplete workload.
