During a briefing in Washington, the Coordinator of the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, reported that the Ukrainian military was forced to carefully distribute ammunition because of the threat of their exhaustion. According to Kirby, this situation creates the opportunity for the occupiers to make more attacks on Ukrainian positions and peaceful cities.
"The Ukrainian military is making great efforts to distribute limited ammunition reserves as it becomes obvious that stocks are coming to an end," Kirby said.
According to the White House Representative, the local commanders should also choose which systems to use in connection with the lack of new military assistance deliveries.
"The Russian side is actively using this situation, continuing attacks with drones and missiles to force the Ukrainian military to spend limited air defense resources," he added.
During the briefing, it was also stated that the Russian side seeks to have an operational base in the Avdiivka area, but the Ukrainian forces continue to actively resist this threat.
