The United Kingdom has announced an emergency assistance to Ukraine of £ 35 million. This financial package is aimed at supporting vital sectors of Ukrainian infrastructure and humanitarian aid.
Of the 35 million pounds, 20 million will be aimed at performing critical repair work in the power network. This will allow Ukraine to increase the power of the power grid, in particular through a project for the production of additional 20 MW of electricity, which will provide energy up to 20 thousand homes.
Another 15 million pounds will be aimed at providing humanitarian assistance for the most vulnerable sections of the population of Ukraine. In addition, the United Kingdom imposes new sanctions against the energy sector of Russia, which should increase pressure on the aggressor country.
Earlier, Britain has announced the allocation of £ 9.5 million for the purchase of shock and unique aircraft for Ukraine, which is an important part of defense support.
