The United Kingdom and the United States have been feared that Russia can share nuclear technologies with Iran in exchange for missiles used in the war against Ukraine. This issue became a key at a summit in Washington, where British Prime Minister Elder and US President Joe Biden discussed the threats associated with strengthening military cooperation between two opponents of the event.
According to The Telegraph, the discussion between the old man and Biden occurred a few days after Iran's accumulation of "significant number" of enriched uranium, which can be used to make nuclear weapons, became known. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also expressed concern, saying that "two countries are creating even more danger in the world," and noted that Russia is shared with Iran technologies, including nuclear and space knowledge.
Although the United Kingdom, France and Germany have warned about increasing uranium in Iran stocks, it is unclear whether Tehran has the opportunity to create nuclear weapons. The cooperation between Russia and Iran deepened after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, and Iran became an important partner for Moscow, providing little range missiles in exchange for technical support.
