The deputy head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk made a loud statement about the long nature of the war with Russia and the need to prepare the younger generation for future resistance. Speaking on May 23, she stressed that the Russian Federation remains an existential threat to Ukraine for many years to come.
"There will be a truce, whether there will be peace agreements or not - Russia remains our enemy for decades, if not for centuries," Vereshchuk said.
In her opinion, Ukrainian society should be reconciled and realized that even after the termination of active fighting, the danger from the Russian Federation will not disappear. She called for a culture of constant readiness to protect the country.
"Our children need to prepare and know what war is. Russia will know that our society is ready for resistance. Everyone understands its role and place. Russia will know that we are ready to repel, and will shoot every house, and under them the earth will burn," she emphasized.
Vereshchuk believes that only such a national resistance strategy can restrain the aggressor from further attempts on the offensive.
