The Israeli Defense Army revealed the largest tunnel owned by Hamas in the Gaza sector, located near the border crossing of Erez on the Israeli border.
The length of the tunnel is estimated at about four kilometers. In some places, it drops over 50 meters deep underground and probably has sufficient width for vehicles.
"One of the mines was found only 400 meters from the Ereaz point, which was served before the Hamas attack on October 7 to move Palestinian civilians to Israel for work and medical care," the military said. According to the tank, the tunnel has numerous branches and nodes, as well as equipped with water, electrical and communication lines. Some parts of the tunnel also revealed explosive doors, which, according to the military, are designed to prevent the penetration of Israeli troops.
