Viktor Orban meets with Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv

Today, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Kiev for a non -standing visit to negotiate with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

According to the head of the press service of Orban Bertalan Khavaashi, the main topics of the meeting will be "peace achievements" in Ukraine and support of Hungarian-Ukrainian relations.

It is worth noting that this is Orban's first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of a full -scale war. The last Prime Minister of Hungary was on an official visit here in 2012.

Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto announced the impossibility of meeting Zelensky with Orban, as Ukraine failed to comply with Hungary's requirements for the rights of the Hungarians of Transcarpathia.

Zelensky and Orban stated after a meeting that they agreed to work on an agreement that resolves bilateral problems.

"The content of our dialogue on all issues today can be the basis for the future bilateral document between our countries, which will regulate all our relationships and will be based on a mirror approach in relations between countries," the President of Ukraine said.

"We want to establish relations between our countries, we want to sign a global cooperation agreement with Ukraine, similar to those agreements that we have with other neighbors of Hungary," the Prime Minister of Hungary added.

Orban stated that Budapest is ready to assist Ukraine during his presidency in the EU Council and supports the modernization of the Ukrainian economy.
