In Copenhagen, near the Israeli embassy, two explosions occurred at night. Danish police have already launched an investigation into the incident, but have not yet said whether the explosions are connected to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
"Yesterday evening, two explosions were heard in the immediate vicinity of the Israeli embassy. No one was hurt. Right now, we have launched an extensive investigation and have increased the police presence in the area," Copenhagen Police Deputy Inspector Jakob Hansen said at a press conference.
On Wednesday morning, police could not say where exactly the explosion occurred, but said it happened near the Israeli embassy.
"We are, of course, looking at the Israeli embassy. This is the angle from which we look, but it is still too early to say whether there is a connection," said Jakob Hansen.
It is also impossible to say what exactly exploded and how strong the explosion was.
Two explosions at around 03:20 local time were reportedly heard by security personnel at the Israeli embassy in northern Copenhagen.
"It should be emphasized that early in the morning on Wednesday, the Copenhagen police did not say whether the explosions in Copenhagen, which took place on Wednesday, have any connection with the situation in the Middle East," the publication indicates.
