An explosion at a factory in the USA caused a tragedy with deaths and injuries

In Luisville, Kentucky, at the Givaudan Sense Color plant, which is engaged in the production of dyes for the food industry, there was a powerful explosion that caused a partial collapse of the building and knocked out windows in neighboring homes and enterprises. As a result of the explosion, at least two people were killed, and several dozen were injured.

Givaudan was the first to confirm the death of two employees and reported that it "cooperates with the first rescuers and auxiliary agencies." Fire teams worked at the scene of the incident that evacuated many people from the building, some of whom had serious injuries. At least 12 victims were hospitalized, another 13 people refused hospitalization, receiving medical care.

The causes of the explosion have not yet been established, however, local fire units have launched air monitoring to check the possible threat of chemical poisoning. The head of the fire department Luisvillya Brian O'Neil noted that although it is not known exactly what origins could happen, the situation is under control, and the residents were urged to maintain calm.
