WhatsApp launches protective layer: How to hide your IP address during calls

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messengers in the world, has introduced an important update aimed at increasing the privacy of users. Now the owners of iPhone and Android devices can hide their IP address during voice calls.

This new feature is called "Protect IP address during calls" is already available for activation. To use it, you need to update the application to the latest version and go to the settings section:

  2. Choose Privacy.
  3. Go to "Extended" section.
  4. Turn on the “Protect the IP address during calls”.

Group calls to WhatsApp are automatically redirected to the company's servers, and they do not need to turn on this option.
