Vladislav Kosyniak-Kamish, Viceremier-Minister and National Defense Minister of Poland, stated the country's position on the possibility of killing Russian missiles over the Ukrainian territory in the event of military aggression.
He stressed that such a step would not be taken without the prior consent of NATO countries.
According to him, there is no such consensus in NATO. The minister pointed to the White House position, which stated that he did not want escalation of the conflict.
"We want to look for ways to be effective, but we do not want escalation. It would be not good for Ukrainians, it would be not good for the Poles, it would be not good for someone. We do not want Putin to receive arguments that the war was triggered by NATO that it was a war between Russia and the US.
We will remind, the possibility of defeat of Russian missiles over the territory of Ukraine by Polish air defense was recorded in the Agreement on Security signed by Kiev and Warsaw.
