In Ukraine, against the background of a general unemployment rate, which is about two million people, there is a special structural shortage of labor in certain industries. Oleg Pendzin, the head of the economic discussion club, noted that there was a serious shortage of personnel in the labor market in the labor specialties, in particular, in logistics.
According to him, labor deficiency is most noticeable in areas such as driving professions, including men. However, in the economic, legal and journalistic spheres of unemployment, on the contrary, remains high. This imbalance of Pendzine associates with poorly developed professional education, in particular in the issues of training for working specialties. In one of the largest areas affected by the staff shortage, there is logistics. The drivers, including the supply of petroleum products, are especially seriously lacking. Responding to this, some major logistics companies began to actively implement women's courses to attract them to this profession. This is a testament to how the industry adapts to new conditions and is looking for ways to solve the problem of lack of personnel.
This approach can be an important step to overcome not only workers' shortages, but also to create new opportunities for women in the labor market. It also emphasizes how changes in education and personnel policy can help solve structural problems of unemployment.
