How to get help for a pensioner burial in Ukraine

After the death of the pensioner, relatives or loved ones may receive the burial assistance, which is paid in the amount of a two -month or three -month pension of the deceased. However, it is worth knowing that if the burial is carried out at the expense of the state, no help is paid. How to get these funds and in what cases they are not provided - we will consider in this article.

Burial assistance is paid in the amount of the two -month pension of the deceased. If the deceased received a pension under special conditions (for example, for persons dismissed from military service), a three -month pension assistance is paid. In any case, the amount of assistance may not be less than five times the subsistence level for able-bodied persons. In order to receive assistance, relatives or legal representatives must contact the Pension Fund body where the deceased was registered. The application can be submitted in person or through a representative. There are cases where no burial assistance is provided. One of them is if the burial is carried out at the expense of the state. In such cases, relatives cannot expect to pay assistance. Also, the assistance is not paid unless the documents submitted meet the requirements of the legislation or if all the necessary documents have not been provided. The Pension Fund must provide burial assistance within ten working days of the application.

Thus, the relatives of pensioners must be aware of the procedures and requirements for burial assistance in order to avoid misunderstandings and receive funds on time.
