Russian troops use the assault units of the Airborne Troops and Special Operations forces to break the Armed Forces defense.
Active fighting continues in the Sudzhi area and the surrounding territories of the Kursk region. The Russian forces are trying to displace Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region and move the fighting into the territory of Sumy and Kharkiv regions. At the same time, according to Sirsky, the enemy has already suffered significant losses.
According to the data provided, from the beginning of the Kursk operation, which lasts from August 6, 2024, the total losses of Russian troops have exceeded 54.9 thousand people. Of these, the irreversible losses are more than 22.2 thousand, sanitary - 31.8 thousand, and 942 soldiers were captured.
In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed or failed more than 2.1 thousand units of Russian equipment, including 90 tanks, 654 combat armored vehicles, two air defense agents, planes, helicopters and almost 1500 drones.
Interestingly, Russian aviation continues to strike in its own territory. As a result of the Air Force, this settlement is almost completely destroyed.
Syrsky emphasized that the preservation of the lives of Ukrainian soldiers remains a priority for the Armed Forces. If necessary, the units carry out maneuvers on more profitable boundaries. As of 18:00 on March 11, Ukrainian troops reflected eight storms of Russian-northern Core units.
"We will keep the defense in the Kurshchyna as much as it will be appropriate and necessary," Syrsky said.
