Yamaha will unveil seven electric concepts in Tokyo, reflecting its vision for low-speed electric transportation in the near future. Part of the line was created on the basis of the modular architecture of the Yamaha Motor Platform Concept.
"Cart" is highly adaptable and allows you to create vehicles for various purposes. For example, the manufacturer's concepts include a quad bike, a truck for recreation near water bodies, and an SUV for farmers.
This is Yamaha Motor Company's first appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon, and the theme of the exhibition, "Small Electric Vehicles - A Force That Can Change Society" reflects the focus on the latest technology and compact transportation.
The central exhibit is the Yamaha Motor Platform Concept "cart" - a universal modular architecture for low-speed electric vehicles designed for one or two people. Its design allows you to flexibly choose the type of batteries and body.
The concepts include models that cover different uses, including a fishing truck, a classic side-by-side, an electric bike and an IoT-enabled urban e-bike.
In addition, Yamaha will also display the new XSR125 ABS motorcycle from the Sport Heritage range and the YXZ1000R hydrogen-powered buggy, demonstrating its expertise in the development of such technologies. In cooperation with Toyota, in 2022 they have already created a hydrogen V8 based on the Lexus RC F eight.
