In response to increasing tension in the region and fears about China's aggression, Japan has completed a 11-day series of nationwide exercises called 05JX. These exercises were intended to prepare for an emergency that may result from China's attempt to establish control of Taiwan.
During the simulated attack, Marine infantrymen used landing machines for storming the beach of Tokunoshima in the East Chinese Sea, demonstrating their willingness to protect vulnerable territories in the case of aggressive actions from China.
The scale of these military exercises in Japan is planned to be increased over the coming years, and their possible participant will be the United States. Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kisida warned of China's possible aggression in the Asian region and compared his action with Russia's attack on Ukraine.
In the light of these events, Japan considers the plan of costs for new weapons worth $ 290 billion, including larger rockets and ammunition to strengthen its defense capability and ensure stability in the region.
