Presidential Office Head Andriy Yermak met with a special representative of the US President for Ukraine and Russia Kit Kellog. It was the first meeting of the American diplomat as part of his visit to Ukraine, during which the parties discussed the military situation and further cooperation between the countries.
Yermak emphasized the importance of Kellogote to receive complete and objective information about events at the front. To do this, the US side organizes briefings of military command, which will assess the real situation on the battlefield.
Particular attention was paid to the end of the war. Yermak emphasized that Ukraine seeks just and long peace, as well as interested in strategic partnership with the United States. He noted that Moscow continues to manipulate information and try to sow a split among allies of Kiev, so the principle "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine" remains unchanged.
During the negotiations, the parties also discussed steps to further strengthen the defense and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the US.
