The head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak has a conversation with US Secretary of State and Acting President of US President Marko Rubio. The main topic of discussion was the preparation for the future meeting of Vladimir Zelensky with Donald Trump, which should take place in the NATO Summit in June 24-25.
Yermak reported this in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, June 24.
“They discussed the preparation for the future meeting of President Vladimir Zelensky with US leader Donald Trump. They paid attention to the issues of the meeting structure, agenda and key issues for discussion, ”he said.
According to Ermak, both political and security issues will be in the focus of a potential meeting. The parties discussed not only the strategic agenda, but also important humanitarian aspects - in particular, the issue of the exchange of prisoners, the release of civilian hostages and the return of Ukrainian children stolen by Russia.
“Exchanging prisoners and civilians is now a key achievement of meetings with Russians in Istanbul. But this is not enough, and it does not affect the end of the war. Russia continues to disrupt the peaceful process, ”Yermak emphasized, adding that they agreed to continue constructive cooperation in this direction.
