The European Union and Moldova have written their first security partnership agreement, marking it as a historical moment in relations. Josep Borrel, the Chief Diplomat of the EU, announced it, noting that this agreement is the first similar to the EU.
The signing of the Agreement was with the participation of Prime Minister Dorin Dorin and a high representative on foreign affairs and security policy from the European Union. Borrel emphasized that Moldova became the first country to conclude an EU partnership agreement in the defense and security fields.
This partnership, according to Borrel, aims to strengthen Moldova's stability and respond jointly to the security challenges facing them. The signing of this Agreement was announced last week and recognized as an important step for both parties.
