The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has actually completed the drafting of demobilization, but its submission to the Verkhovna Rada is still postponed. According to Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Havrylyuk during an hour of questions to the government in Parliament, the main reason for this is the need to prepare the reserve of servicemen to replace those who are currently in the forefront.
According to him, demobilization involves the removal from the front of part of servicemen who have been in the war zone for a long time. However, it is necessary to ensure their replacement with new reserves in order to maintain the combat capability of the Ukrainian army.
In the face of war with Russia, the issue of demobilization has become particularly acute. On the one hand, it is necessary to provide rotation and allow to relax to those who have been on the front for a long time. On the other hand, Ukraine cannot allow the defense line weakening.
The Ministry of Defense is working on the preparation of reserves of servicemen. This process includes both the mobilization of new conscripts and the increase in the level of training of available fighters.
