In Kiev, on May 14, there was a shooting in one of the hotels of Svyatoshinsky district. According to the press service of the metropolitan National Police, the incident happened in the morning when law enforcement officers received reports of shots at the hotel. After arriving at the scene, police detained a 26-year-old man who was a resident of Khmelnytsky region.
It turned out that the detainee came to the capital about a week ago for work and settled at this hotel. During his stay in the room, while intoxicated, he began to shoot with firearms. After several shots, he was detained by police.
Law enforcement officers removed weapons from the scene. It will be directed for examination to find out all the circumstances. According to the police, investigators work with the detainees who find out the reasons for this act.
The event is entered in the Unified Register of Pre -trial Investigations under the article on hooliganism (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The attacker faces up to seven years in prison. He had an AR-15 automatic rifle and a compact gun, similar to Glock or Sig Sauer. Photos of the detainee have already been published in Telegram channels.
The incident has caused a wave of discussions, because shooting in public places can not only violate public order, but also threaten the safety of other people. However, fortunately, none of the people who were in the hotel were injured during the incident.
