President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Friday, April 4, meetings of military teams of countries that are ready to place their contingents in Ukraine. He stated this during negotiations with German Foreign Minister Annalen Berb, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to the President, the planned meeting will be held in a narrow circle of those states that are ready to provide their military units. The main theme of negotiations will be to discuss the formats of the possible presence of peacekeeping contingents in Ukraine.
In addition to the very question of the contingent's placement, Zelensky emphasized the importance of Future Force initiative, which will determine the appearance of the future Armed Forces of Ukraine in the context of pan -European security.
"It is very important - what the future of the Ukrainian army will look like as part of the security of the whole continent," the President emphasized.
Zelensky noted that meetings and discussions on future cooperation are ongoing, and it is too early to talk about final arrangements.
"We have a vision, the military has a vision, we have talked about it today - two hours. Many things have already been developed, and they are serious. Whether our partners will support them is too early to say. But what I saw, I am satisfied," the head of state summed up.
