On the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees on the assignment of military ranks to five commander of different families of the Armed Forces. This decision notes the merits of officers who made a significant contribution to the protection of the state.
According to decrees of December 5, 2024, military ranks received:
- Dmitry Bratishko is the commander of the troops of the East Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was awarded the title of brigade general .
- Igor Skibiuk is the commander of the Armed Forces Airborne Assault Troops. He received the title of Major General .
- Alexander Trepak is the commander of the Special Operations forces of the Armed Forces. Increased to the rank of Major General .
- Nicholas Palace is the Deputy Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces. He was awarded the title of brigade general .
This appointment is a symbol of gratitude for the outstanding service of commanders at a time when the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to uphold the sovereignty of the country. Each of the commander showed high professionalism, ensuring the defense and successful fulfillment of strategic tasks.
President Zelensky emphasized that the Armed Forces is the main guarantee of the security and freedom of Ukraine, and it is because of the dedication of the military that the country is worthy of the challenges of the present.
