Ukraine continues to show striking exports of grain and legumes.
Since the beginning of the new marketing year (2023/2024), the country has already exported 8.72 million tons of grain, including wheat, barley and corn. New figures reflect the importance of the Ukrainian agrarian sector on the world stage and its ability to provide stable food supply in the world market.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, since the beginning of the marketing year, which started on July 7, the country has already exported 4.4 million tons of wheat, 669 thousand tons of barley and 3.53 million tons of corn. These are considerable volumes that testify to the high competitiveness of Ukrainian grain in the world market.
It should be noted that the data in the same period of the last marketing year were even more impressive. At that time, Ukraine exported 4.68 million tons of wheat, 1.05 million tons of barley and 6.6 million tons of corn, the total volume reached 12.34 million tons.
However, it is important to note that October 2023 showed a decrease in exports compared to the previous period. Exports amounted to 1.968 million tons of grain and legumes, compared to 3.6 million tons for the same period last year. Despite this decline, Ukraine remains an important player in the world agrarian market.
Ukrainian exports also include flour, where 41.8 thousand tons are exported during this period, which is a positive signal for the country's food industry.
