Victims as a result of the collision of a passenger train in the Czech Republic heading to Ukraine

On the night of June 6, in the Czech city of Pardubitsa, a passenger train of Regiojet, which was heading to Ukraine, collided with a freight train. Four people were killed and dozens were injured.

The accident happened at midnight. Passenger express with the route of Prague-Koshice, which headed to the Ukrainian city of Chop, collided the forehead with a freight train that transported the carbide of calcium and moved in the opposite direction.

The accident resulted in four deaths and injuries in three moderate people, as well as about 20 easily wounded, including children. The number of victims may change as medical examinations are still ongoing.

There were more than 300 people at the time of collision in the passenger train. The front wagon, which, according to preliminary data, was about 20 passengers, was completely destroyed.

The witness of the events said: "We felt a blow, heard the glass crashed, and then the crying began. We went in the car for the one that overturned. In our car there were many people in the blood, they were injured."

Dozens of rescue services went to the scene of the accident. Rescuers immediately started pulling out passengers from the first train wagon, which suffered the greatest damage. The reasons for the event are established by the railway inspection.
